Your data and iCloud
Where is my data stored?
On your device and in your personal iCloud account. Keepit has no servers and we can never see your receipts or tasks. See our privacy policy.
I got a new phone — how do I get my data back?
Install Keepit and sign in to the same Apple Account (iCloud). Your receipts and tasks sync back automatically within a few minutes. Make sure iCloud Drive is turned on in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.
My receipts aren't syncing between devices.
Check three things, in this order:
1. Both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account
(iOS Settings → your name).
2. iCloud Drive is on (iOS Settings → your name → iCloud
→ iCloud Drive).
3. The device has been on Wi-Fi or cellular since you added the item —
sync is not instant and can take a few minutes.
If it still is not syncing after that, email us and mention roughly when you added the item that is missing.
How do I delete all my data?
Delete your items in the app, or remove Keepit's iCloud data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. We hold no copies, so once it is gone from your iCloud it is gone entirely.
Keepit Pro
I bought Keepit Pro but it shows as locked.
Open Keepit → Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.
Is Keepit Pro a subscription?
No. It is a single one-time purchase of $4.99 CAD (your local App Store price may differ). There is nothing to cancel and no recurring charge. Future updates are included.
Can I use Pro on my other devices?
Yes. Any device signed in to the same Apple Account can unlock it with Settings → Restore Purchases, at no extra cost.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the Keepit purchase. If something in the app is broken, email us first — we would rather fix it.
Reminders and notifications
Reminders aren't showing up.
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Keepit and make sure notifications are allowed. Keepit sends reminders at 10 AM local time before tasks are due, return windows close, and warranties expire.
Can I change the reminder time?
Not yet — reminders currently arrive at 10 AM local time. A configurable reminder time is on the list for a future update. If it matters to you, say so in an email; that moves things up the list.
A repeating task keeps showing as overdue.
Mark it done — tap the circle beside the task, or swipe right on it. That restarts the countdown from today. Swiping left deletes a task, so the two gestures do not get mixed up.
Scanning receipts
The scanner read the wrong store or total.
Tap any field on the receipt and correct it — your edit is what gets saved. Text recognition struggles with faded thermal paper, creased receipts and unusual fonts. Flattening the receipt and shooting it in even light makes a large difference.
Can I replace the photo on a receipt I already saved?
Yes. Open the receipt, tap the photo, and choose to rescan or replace it. You can also remove the photo entirely and keep the details.
Can I add more than one photo per receipt?
Not yet — one photo per receipt today. Multiple photos (for multi-page receipts and warranty paperwork) is planned for a future update.
Devices
Is there an iPad version?
Not yet. Keepit is iPhone-only today, and iPad support is the next major update rather than a small patch — the layouts are being built properly rather than stretched.
Is there an Android version?
No, and none is planned. Keepit's privacy model depends on iCloud and Apple's on-device text recognition; there is no drop-in equivalent that would let us keep the same promise on Android.
What iOS version do I need?
iOS 17 or later, on iPhone.
